I can’t say enough good things about Shawn Stevenson. We were kept well informed all along the way, the surgery went like clockwork and it was over before we knew it. Everyone on Dr. Stevenson’s team was super and were friendly and informative. I was back to feeling great in no time. If I am ever in need of any kind of surgery that is in Dr. Stevenson’s area of expertise, I will not hesitate to have it performed by him. Dr. Stevenson and his team have been nothing short of amazing. They are friendly, professional and always happy to provide you with answers to your questions. My surgery itself went flawlessly with absolutely no severe pain or any complications. I would recommend this group to anyone and everyone who is considering bariatric surgery.

Dr.Stevenson listened to my specific situation and gave me a no fluff assessment of my medical needs and outlook. He was polite and professional; I felt he was listening to me and reviewing treatment options without creating a rosy picture of outcomes...it took years to get where I am and it will take hard work to reverse it. Dr. Stevenson and his staff were courteous and made me feel at ease going into a surgical consult which can be nerve racking.

They did a great job with making sure my appointments were made and that everything was taken care of insurance wise. They had great communication and were on top of it all. One thing that could be improved is that they could gear information to what the surgeon specifically requires. They have general guidelines some that are more difficult but when I met with my surgeon he would tell me that he didn’t require what I’ve been taught. I understand that they work with numerous surgeons but it would be nice to have more personalized information given to patients. I struggled with a few things trying to follow the guidelines from DH but when I met with the surgeon he stated that I could do things differently. Either they should tell us to call the surgeon’s office if we are struggling or they

Dr. Stevenson is a wonderful surgeon. When I had to have my port put in he and the staff worked hard to get me in right away so that I could start my new IV therapy. Dr. Stevenson is always great about getting back to you when you have a question or concern. He was even nice enough to come check on me at Chandler's hospital when I was having another surgery done (this one needed a speciality surgeon or I would have ask Dr. Stevenson to do it). He is also very helpful when it comes to finding specialist for surgeries he can not do. I can not recommend Dr. Stevenson or this office enough!!
