I have had an endoscopy at another surgery unit and my experience was very different from what I experienced here. The woman at the desk getting the paperwork done was pleasant. The wait was not very long and the nurse who took my info was very sweet. I was then placed in what I would describe as a hallway of sorts. I was left there for about 10 or 15 mins. Nurses walked by but no one cked to see if I was comfortable. I was brought into the surgery room...oxygen placed in my nose and left there alone for about 15 mins. A young nurse walked in..sat by a computer and never once asked how I was doing. Dr Gingold came in asked how I was doing..never saw him b4 the procedure. I was out and then in recovery. My second colonoscopy with Dr. Gingold and just like the first time, I had a great experience and the staff were great! Setting my appointment, getting the instructions on how to prep and an email with very detailed instructions. I was greeted promptly and sat with the intake coordinator who reviewed everything with me. My information was checked about twice, which was great! The nurses were lovely who met me and I have to thank thank the Anesthesiologist who gave me the best sleep in a long long time LOL; he did great! Next up, Dr. Gingold and his procedure nurse and assitant were both kind, gentle and got me comfortable. Next thing I knew I was in recovery with the nurse who was kind, helpful. My first colonoscopy and the staff were great First nurse interaction was with Chelsea. She was really friendly and patient with this patient (I'm high maintenance being a bit of a fainter) - I felt bad for how much she had to pamper me as she prepped me Next was the anesthesiologist who I had a nice chat with before zonking out - I think I discussed the situation in Ukraine, but who knows Finally the nurse who was with me when I woke up - another delightful person who took care of me as I came back to the world - don't recall her name because I was still a bit woozy Bottom line (pun intended): I recommend 100%

I had a fairly terrible experience with Dr. Cory Virgilio and Digestive Healthcare Center. I went to them due to some high liver enzyme numbers. Dr. Virgilio was 25 minutes late to our first meeting, which was a FaceTime call. He rushed through the call, basically just referring me to get blood work, and I was billed the full $330 for the appointment. Every meeting after that was like Dr. Virgilio was meeting me for the first time. He would show up late for the call (could never meet in-person), would be flipping through my file to try and figure out why I was there, and then hastily end the call in about 5 minutes - all for $330. At age 52, just retired as a police supervisor almost 27 years, running a consulting company, I had to take the next step of making sure important aspects of my health are okay. My first time having a colonoscopy, first time going under the gas, leaves some nerves flowing big time. This entire staff all the way up to Dr. Greaves made the procedure very assuring, positive, and relaxed. I want to thank all of you for the great job in taking care of your patients!
