Dr Katie was awesome and took a lot of time to listen to my concerns about finding the best options for contacts. I haven’t been able to wear contacts for a while since I’ve gone multi focal. We came up with a plan and a recheck in a week. Very thorough experience! She also noticed that my optic nerve in one eye needed further review and is referring me to a specialist. Next was the optical advice I received from Michelle! She found the perfect pair for me and made it a breeze to order taking advantage of my eye insurance and eligible discounts. What an amazing team and overall experience! Keep shining!

The appointment itself went very smoothly. I was really satisfied with the help I got for picking out the frames and the location is really convenient. The clinic is really convenient. Time wait is really fast. The whole environment and experience really satisfied me. Staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. Would recommend making your next eye appointment here!!

Delightful experience. Ophthalmologist was excellent. Staff were responsive, helpful, and friendly. Very accommodating to my tight FSA deadline. Highly recommend. Updated review: 5 stars to 3 as of April 2025. Things have changed in the last two years. Forgot to place my contact order and did not tell me my glasses were in. I had to call to find out status. Polite excuses but I am disappointed. Will see what happens next year when I renew.

Best eyewear purchase experience I’ve ever had. The staff is almost absurdly delightful and did a better job explaining my prescription as it relates to various lens types than anywhere else I’ve ever been. The selection is vast and it’s not just the same boring stuff you see everywhere else—there are many truly unique options at much more reasonable prices than you’ll find elsewhere. I will never go anywhere else for glasses.

I was lucky enough to be the winner of a certificate toward sunglasses at an event in Wauwatosa. It was a fashion show taking place at the Wauwatosa Women’s Club. Design Optical was represented and each model was wearing an adorable set of frames to complement their outfit. Design Optical had also contributed a gift certificate for sunglasses as well as a portion of prescription glasses, I was trilled to win and even more thrilled to visit the shop where I was welcomed and given guidance on selecting sunglasses. For a small addition to the certificate I walked out of the store with an amazing pair of Maui Jim’s! I love them and so appreciate the experience and the philanthropic spirit of this shop and its owners. I will return with my daughter for her exam and chance to choose frames for h
