Desert Valley Pediatric Dentistry - Buckeye

I waited close to hour for my 2 year old to be seen for a cleaning. The doctor checked his mouth for about 5 seconds and told me he had no cavities. She walked off without even asking if I had any questions. Then they took about 5 seconds to clean his teeth with a toothbrush. My 5 yr old also wanted a new toothbrush like his little brother but they would not give him one. Overall, a very bad experience!!! Little did they know, I am dental assistant and we would never treat patients that way. I won’t be going back.

Me and my three sons had an awesome experience here. The overall environment was very friendly and welcoming. Gloria did an excellent job at answering all of our questions we had regarding the check-up and treatment and she made us feel very comfortable throughout the visit. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a great experience for themselves or their families. Thank you again to Gloria she was fantastic!

We had such a great experience at this pediatric dentistry! My 2-year-old had his check-up yesterday, and the staff was amazing, especially Gloria. She was so patient and kind, taking her time to show him all the tools, explain what she was doing, and make him feel comfortable. She even gave him stickers after each step and made it fun with high fives and knuckles! The dentist was also wonderful, gentle and caring. My son actually let her clean and check all his teeth without crying. I’m so happy with how they treated him and highly recommend this office!

Do not, I repeat do not go to Desert Valley Pediatric Dentist on Yuma road. I believe the provider Dr. Madhavi Potluri is falsely telling patients that they have cavities. They do not do a full cleaning. They did not even properly floss my daughter’s teeth between her permanent retainer behind her bottom front teeth and did zero scaling. If you want any type of scaling they consider it a deep cleaning, which other pediatric dentist have regularly done scaling in their normal cleaning. When asked to speak to the provider she refused to come out and talk me. Gloria a young receptionist was rude and unprofessional. She literally laughed at my daughter and I called her out on it. I honestly believe this office is a scam.

The front desk service is terrible. There’s no greeting no “good morning,” “how are you,” or “how can I help you.” She just asks, “What’s the name of the patient?” This happens every time a new client walks in. I waited about 45 minutes for my appointment, and during that time, I never saw her greet anyone. All I heard was, “Patient name?” or “You have missed payments, please wait to be called.”I also noticed she only responds in English to patients who speak Spanish, even though she clearly speaks Spanish with her coworkers. That surprised me and felt disrespectful, especially for Spanish-speaking clients.The rest of the staff, including the doctor and everyone in the back, are excellent. But after six months coming here, I’ve realized the person at the front desk just doesn’t seem suited
