I cannot say enough wonderful things about Des Moines Midwife Collective. They provided spectacular care throughout my entire journey to achieve my homebirth VBAC. From the very first appointment, I felt heard, respected, and truly supported. They took the time to answer every question thoroughly, provided evidence-based information, and made sure I felt confident and empowered in my choices. After a previous c-section, planning a VBAC came with a lot of emotions, but their calm, knowledgeable, and empowering approach made all the difference. Their office is also family friendly, which made it easy to bring along my toddler to appointments. Now, instead of playing 'doctor' she only wants to play Midwife! :) During labor and delivery, their presence was grounding and reassuring. I felt sa

We LOVED Caitlin for our homebirths. I was blessed with the opportunity to have Caitlin for two of my children’s births and she was the best!! Both births were VBACS and dramatically different giving me the chance to experience the true blessing in which homebirths are. Caitlin provides a peace and reassurance when bringing a child into the world making you feel comfortable and confident. She takes amazing care of the mother and child during appointments, birth and aftercare. I will forever look back at my children’s birthdays knowing dream births are truly possible. We cannot thank Caitlin enough for her dedication and passion as a Midwife.

We chose Des Moines Midwife Collective twice, for our second and third babies. After a traumatic birth/labor experience in a hospital with our first, I knew I wanted to dig deeper and find a different approach to our health care. This team was it for us! Their evidence based approach and personal care for their clients is incredibly valuable and seemingly rare these days! The experience from start to finish was wonderful. We are greeted kindly from their front desk as we walk in for each visit, and their office is very cozy and comfortable. They love on our littles and we are able to focus well each visit because of the family feel from the toy selection in the room to the way they engage with them, which the kids truly enjoy! Caitlin and her team have created an atmosphere where my husba

Choosing a home birth with Caitlin as our midwife was one of the best decisions we made, and we truly cannot imagine our home tub birth experience without her. From the very beginning, she made us feel heard, supported, and completely at ease. As first time parents, we did not know what to expect with the process or with birth and Caitlin was always such a rock for us. Our home water birth was everything we hoped it would be: calm, peaceful, and empowering. She created such a safe space during labor and was incredibly steady and reassuring throughout our tub birth. Having her there allowed us to fully trust the process and experience birth in the comfort of our own home. But our favorite part was what happened immediately after birth. Instead of being moved to a recovery room, the three

I went in for a consultation when I was pregnant with my second. Their offices are disgustingly dirty. They forced me to take a pregnancy test to just speak with them about their services. I was 10 weeks pregnant and had already had an ultrasound, so I assured them I was indeed pregnant and did not need to take a test but they insisted before the consult. Not sure why it even matters that I was pregnant or not, can a prospective parent not check out their options beforehand? In any case, I decided not to go with their services, because the cost even with insurance was astronomical, and frankly the office was grody. I was then sent a bill for the pregnancy test and "preventative counseling". I did not want the pregnancy test, I did not recieve any counseling, and I'm not sure what they
