Appointments are difficult to get but the doctors are good, very responsive to questions especially through the online portal. The reason for the low review is because since they moved offices they are charging astronomical prices - basically charging you as an outpatient rather than a specialist price through your insurance, just because they moved from a clinical building to the hospital, even though it's the exact same practice with the exact same doctors. Have been to other doctors in the hospital with no such policy.
I had been receiving the same treatment at RWJ for several years. Only recently after moving into a different location did they start charging astronomical prices for the same treatment. I was not informed prior to my last two visits what the prices would be and was very surprised to see my bills. I have complained no one has helped me.
My neurologist Dr Sharma is one of a kind! From the first appointment she gave me a reassuring diagnosis on the spot, after months of running from one specialist to the next. She took the extra time to listen to my concerns and explain everything clearly. The receptionists were all sweet and helpful. Dr. Sharma always responds to my portal messages in a timely fashion. She treats me like a person, not a patient; it's obvious that she really cares. Very impressed!
Waited over six months for an appointment here. Was referred to get treatment at JFK however they just simply told me to contact them with no other information on my discharge papers other than JFKs number. After a month of not being able to get a hold of anyone at JFK I come to find out that the doctor who referred me failed to write an actual prescription for what kind of treatment I need. Now it’s been three weeks of me calling RWJ and leaving messages and no one is contacting me back or answering phones. I suppose I will have to call out of work and waste a day driving down there paying for gas tolls and parking to get a script that should have been given to me months ago.
New location increased out-of-pocket payment 610%. Guess I'll die.
