Very disappointing experience with Denver Arthritis Clinic before we even made it to an appointment. Scheduling was unnecessarily difficult. We had to cancel an appointment due to a death in the family, and did so within their cancelation policy guidelines. When we called back we were warned that if we canceled again they would refuse to see us. That felt insensitive given the circumstances. When we tried to reschedule, the scheduler claimed there was no referral from our PCP. That made no sense because we had already been scheduled previously. As she was ending the call, we asked her to check again. Only then did she ask for a date of birth and suddenly found all the information that was supposedly missing. It was there all along, she just did not bother looking for it the first time. I

Without sharing too much detail, I am a complicated case! Although my ANA was elevated it was not as high as some so I was rejected by a different rheumatologist practice. Thankfully, Denver Arthritis Clinic accepted me as a patient and I started my journey with Dr DeFrancisco. He was (is) an exceptional listener and continued discovery with me even though labs were coming back negative/normal. Long story short, he took the time to review extensive imaging I had done and found an indication of beginning stages of AS. In addition, he encouraged me to move forward with a lip biopsy which indicated seronegative sjogrens. I have been seeing Dr. Ryan Antolini with the Denver Arthritis Clinic since 2009. He is an excellent physician and really cares to understand your symptoms, make the proper diagnosis, and help treat your condition to the very best of his abilities. His assistant Stacy is new to him, but has been with the clinic for years. She is also very kind and helpful and they make a great team. I highly recommend him for all of your rheumatology needs.
