When we first started here Dr. Jessica was great. While she was transitioning out of this office(can’t imaging why..) they would frequently reschedule appointments. My daughter did very well with her, she took her time with her and would allow her to remove teeth and do work no problem. I asked to be only be scheduled with her and regardless one day they didn’t make me aware she wasn’t coming back and had a male doctor in her place. My daughter spazzed and has since had issues since with going back. The last doctors we have seen continue to rush you through your visit supposedly there to help special needs kids but not willing to take the time to help them through the appointment and just want to rush cleaning and procedures to get into the next room. Good afternoon, world. Let me tell you what happened to me today. I had an appointment with one of my foster children. I thought the appointment was at 9:15, but it was actually at 8:40. While I was driving, the dental office (dentistry for special people ) called and said we had missed the appointment. I explained that I was on my way and apologized. I also shared that the child with me is going to court tomorrow and will be returning home to his mom this might be his last time ever seeing a dentist. I asked if they could please make an exception. The young lady put me on hold, came back, and said, Yes, just try to get here by 9:00. I have been taking my child to the turnersville office for a few years now . I have always had a good experience up until my last 2 visits . Never again will I be bringing my child to this office. The front desk staff are the most unprofessional , rude and clueless employees I have ever met in a doctor, dental office. I received a call the day before my child's appointment stating that my insurance was inactive I told the woman on the phone that it was not but that I would call my insurance to double check . She responded I already checked it and it is so....like really rudely .She said we will need to cancel your appointment. I called my insurance and it was active. Today was the last straw for incompetence at this office. Turnersville specifically. How are you going to wait until an hour prior to an appointment time to ask for medical clearance on an appointment you’s have had on your schedule for weeks now? If you can’t even pay attention to the schedule it makes me wonder what else slips through the cracks. And to be so nonchalant on the phone about it like you could care less? Also let’s not forget the last time I was in how the two at the desk were discussing how a dentist made a child urinate on themselves due to forcing the child to hold their bladder and refusing to allow the child up to use the bathroom. I have started taking my kids to Dentistry for Special People in Cherry Hill starting in 2025 and I am very happy with their friendliness and thoroughness. It is difficult to find competent people that fit with individual needs, but DfSP will be my children's dentists until they are adults. I have taken my kids to other dentists and they are either not very thorough, in a hurry to push you out the door, or do not communicate well, but DFSP staff are efficient and yet and willing to spend a little extra time to answer questions.
