Dentistry for Kids South Side

My 16-year-old brother had a filling done on Monday. By Tuesday, he was in severe pain. When I called to request a follow-up, they said the earliest appointment was the following Monday — leaving him in pain for an entire week. We ended up taking him to another dental office, where X-rays and an exam confirmed he has an infection and now needs either a root canal or an extraction on a permanent tooth. That dentist explained the filling had been placed too deep, which damaged his nerve. When we went back for a follow-up at the Southside location, they tried to blame the infection on the cavity being “too close to the nerve” — something I was never told about before or during the filling. I have heard so many wonderful things about this office but the last two time I have gone it has been TERRIBLE!!! I honestly can’t believe it. The staff are so rude and have no personality. They are not welcoming at all. The dental assistant wasn’t really all that patient with my son. I understand it’s a dental office for kids but if you aren’t too great with them maybe don’t work with the directly. I hope I can switch to the other office and if not I will never be back!! I mean it’s the little things that count, the reminders call every time the person is RUDE, the front desk to check in was so dry and then handed me paperwork for a “new patient” and I asked her oh I am needing to do this again? I thought we filled out paperwork already. She than said he is a new patient so yes. I let her

Good luck if your child needs a procedure at the hospital done . They scheduled my newly 5 year old for a procedure we were told our arrival time was 11 am been waiting an hour and 30 min we finally asked and told he wouldn’t be brought to the prep till 1:20 and procedure to start at 2:20 I would say try your hardest to have your littles done in office so they don’t have to suffer my young child has had to wait since midnight the night before to eat and still hasn’t been taken for his procedure I could see if he was older but he’s 5 grumpy tired of waiting and hungry . Do yourself a favor and steer far away from him he in hospital procedure or maybe they can be more transparent with the process as I have other children to arrange childcare for and a driver RIDICULOUS to say the least

The south side location is great! It’s sparkling clean, bright and cheery and not crowded at all. All the people who work at Dentistry for Kids are really nice and great with kids and this location is the same. I love the lego room!
