Dentistry for Children - Hudson Bridge

Thank you Sarah! You were so sensitive to my 5 year old on the spectrum. She was so attentive and calm. I believe she has done both my baby cleanings over the last year. The X-ray tech was very sweet as well, I just did not get her name. The front office ladies are nice as well which is so rare these days. My comment/concern is for the highest paid member. I know the dentist is busy doing exam after exam but please be more sensitive like your counterparts. Kids with autism often don’t tolerate the bright light or being able to keep their hands off your hand like you kept repeating to a 5 year old with a foreign object in his mouth. My feelings towards this place are mixed. As far as special needs, no. However, the help and care my youngest child received was nothing less than amazing! Thank you kindly for being exceptional at your jobs, its reassuring and appreciated. Dr. Thorpe, Ashley at the front desk, Ms Iyana and Ms Sarah in the back, thank you specially. You made this visit a very pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, one staff member can really impact the overall experience. My 3-year-old daughter had her first dental cleaning today, and while I was excited to support and empower her during this milestone, our interaction with the X-ray technician, Ayana (or possibly I’yana), was disappointing. She handled my daughter somewhat roughly while trying to place the X-ray device in her mouth before realizing it was too big. She also asked if my daughter had a cold after she cleared her throat once, which felt unnecessary. I was then instructed to sit somewhere where I could not see my child during the process. Something really needs to change at this office. Every time I come in, the assistants look overworked, exhausted, and underappreciated. The office is consistently overcrowded, and my children regularly wait close to two hours just to be seen for treatment or even a simple cleaning. What concerns me even more is the way management communicates. I have personally witnessed the manager speaking to staff in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner while patients, including my children, were in the waiting area. That kind of environment is uncomfortable and unacceptable. I’ve continued to return hoping things would improve, but unfortunately, they haven’t. Scheduled my two babies first dentist appointment here. They are 1&3. Front desk was very nice, although they did not warn of the 2 hr wait due to connectivity issues. The doctor was amazing once seen, excellent with both kids. Only issue I came across was being verbally berated for getting a “crown” prize for my child. The gray haired older lady was very rude and unpleasant. I see why she is not working directly with customers but she needs to be in the back completely. I’m considering not returning..
