Dentistry by April Detar

This was my first appointment with Dr. Detar and I was totally impressed and so grateful that someone recommended her to me. Everyone there is so nice, helpful, and informative. I learned some things including problems not previously detected. I highly recommend this practice If you are looking for great dental care.

There's a reason (many, actually) why this dentist office has only five star reviews. Dr Deter and her team have created such a modern, polished, and safe environment for clients of all ages. She is truly the best when it comes to skill and talent, but also compassion and authenticity. The dental assistants and hygienists are just as great - they're always willing to answer questions with thorough explanations and take excellent care of their patients. I honestly never expected to find a dentist team that I enjoy and appreciate this much. Since my first visit, I could tell the staff are like family to each other and treat their patients as such, too. Endless thank you's to Dr Deter and everyone who helps her practice run as smoothly as it does. I cannot recommend her enough!

This is a wonderful dental office! I took my son for his first visit and I had X-rays for myself as well. The receptionist was wonderful with him. She set the TV for him and talked to him for about ten minutes when he was tired of watching me sit in the chair. She was so nice about the whole situation and was so kind to him. His hygienist was also so sweet and answered his hundreds of questions and concerns about the visit. As far as myself, I appreciate how helpful every staff member is. They are all very personable and have great senses of humor. Dr. Swagger is great and I would recommend this dental office to anyone. While they might have longer waits for appointments, it is so worth it and they will often time call you to get in sooner and work well with your schedule.

Dr. Detar and her staff are amazing. Greeted by warmth and smiles when i entered the office. Love that they are advanced in scheduling technology and I can communicate through text with the front office with prompt timely responses. I’m recovering from the “Pinehole Gum Graft Surgery” and even though it’s going to be a 6 weeks recovery in the end it will be well worth it. She was a second opinion because the first gum graft dentist I saw made me feel uncomfortable and worried. I put it off for three years until my primary dentist said I had to have it done. The treatment we received from this practice was great. The billing was another story. My kid was seen on an emergency basis. She paid at the appointment, billed the insurance and received money from them (even though they were out of network) and then billed for the balance. We were charged 3 times the "allowed amount". frustrating.
