Dental Lake Mary- Dr. Effie Yao DDS PA

I'm very disappointed with Dental Lake Mary and Dr. Yao. After 2 years of not going to the Dentist, I decided to go here for an exam, x-rays, and cleaning as they offered a new patient discount. After my exam, I was given a treatment plan that stated I needed to replace all my old fillings (5 total), and that I needed 4 new fillings. I was shocked and upset by this as I had only 1 cavity within the past 10 years. The treatment plan also totaled to be around $2600 as I did not have any dental insurance. I am so glad I went to get a second opinion at Lake Mary Modern Dentistry. They stated that I had NO cavities and did not need ANY fillings. They also said that I do NOT need to replace my old fillings as they are not fractured. Instead, they simply want to monitor. If you are looking for a

Dr. Yao is amazing! Always on time and so friendly. The whole office is so kind and makes going to the dentist a nice experience. I would recommend Dr. Yao to anyone with dental anxiety. I put off going to the dentist because of anxiety but am in the process of restoring my smile.

Dr. Yao and her staff (especially Betsy) are the absolute best. I’ve been seeing Dr. Yao since at least 2003. I moved to Texas and spend some time back here and this is the only dentist I will see and specifically make time to have my appointments here. You will never find a kinder, more gentle and caring dentist and team!

Dr. Yao & her office staff are very pleasant and well-organized. They are very informative about preventative dental care and have help me improve my dental health and avoid tooth loss and gum disease. For urgent conditions, it is very easy to see the dentist for prompt treatment. They have very up-to-date x-ray and exam procedures and have detected several dental problems before I had symptoms. Altogether highly recommended, a "5 star:" dental practice.

Dr. Effie Yao and her entire staff have always been so kind and warm to me. I have never had a bad experience at Dr. Effie Yao's office. She has been my dentist for a few years now and I honestly never want to go anywhere else. I highly reccommend this dentist if you are in the central Florida area!
