Dental Arts Group

I have been going here for 30 years, since I was a small kid! Even when I left for college, I would schedule my cleanings on my breaks so I could get in. I have been seeing Dr. Schwab the entire time, he's probably nearing retirement now. The hygienists and receptionist have been there for many years, low employee turn over is always a good sign. The entire staff is friendly and professional. A few years ago they started submitting claims to insurance on your behalf, I like that. I'm not a huge fan of the location, it's in the, "badlands" of Syracuse. I still make the drive from the southern suburbs because I think Dr. Schwab is worth it. About a year ago I left central New York for Austin, Texas. My new dentist complimented Dr. Schwab's work on my multiple fillings. She said the

Dr. Schwabb has been my dentist for 27 years; very nice staff, including my longtime hygienist, Tracy who is fantastic. They never push procedures and are very reasonable in their prices. My aunt tried Aspen Dental - very poor service -Dr. Scwabb gave her great service and for less than half the price.

They said that our insurance would cover their services. That a lot of people from our work with our insurance go there. They did an exam and cleaning and then put some coating on a tooth. (Which I made clear I didnt want the coating unless insurance covered it because the tooth didnt bother me.) Next thing I know I'm getting a bill for over $300. Found another dentist who actually put a crown over the tooth they just did a coating for and it didnt cost me a thing. Everything the new dentist has done has not cost me 1 cent. Only good thing about dental arts group is the hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth. But it wasnt worth over $300. Any medical office knows what insurance covers for basic stuff. They lied. Wouldn't recommend this place. They are shady.
