Delta Medix Urology

My first encounter with Dr. Preate (for my son) was great. I really liked his bedside manner. However, on our follow up we waited almost three hours and was never seen because we couldn't wait any longer due to other obligations. I was then told to call the office the following Monday to get rescheduled. The reschedule date was a month and a half away. I pulled my son out of school and disrupted my work schedule only to sit there feeling like a number which is unacceptable. After all, we are trusting this physician with our health. I proceeded to call another specialist and my son was seen right away and his issue has been addressed. There is nothing worse than feeling like the doctor doesn't care about his patients. We, too, have lives and want to feel like our time is valuable. I hope

I met Dr. Preate while I was hospitalized and felt comfortable immediately with him. He was very kind told me he would love to have me as a patient. He thought my case was interesting because I’m 37 yr old female who has been fighting stage IV colon cancer for 5 years. After leaving the hospital the issue with my kidney worsened and the office staff said Dr Preate stated to refer back to oncology. Unfortunately , I cancelled my appointment with Sloan because I was told he would see me in 2-3 weeks and the appointment I was offered was OCT 31! Now I am stuck in pain and still waiting to see urology at Sloan Kettering.

I called Delta Medix at the beginning of December asking if it was possible to get a #vasectomy squeezed in with Dr. Preate before the end of the year since I already hit my max deductible for 2019. THEY WERE AWESOME! The staff was organized and efficient in putting the right pieces together, and Dr. Preate is a rockstar! Less than 24 hours later and I feel better than ever!

Dr Preate himself is wonderful with my mother who is in remission for bladder cancer. His staff however, not so much. Always get the answering machine when you call there. It says calls will be returned within 24 hours. They are not! Yet there always seems to be at least 2 staff members sitting behind the counter. Very upsetting when you need information.

Been to the office several times have yet to see a dr. Treated only by LPN’s who know as much as first year students. Enter at your own risk if you are treated by LPN S.B. Very rude and arrogant. Needs a class in compassion or choose another field. Who needs that when you’re not feeling good !!! JMO. I will definitely not be going back.
