This office could not be more screwed up. After my initial office visit I supposed to get a call from the office to schedule my procedure. I never got. I had to call twice and email them before could schedule the appointment. Then after the appointment I was told to call in to schedule the post op visit. When I did they told me that the soonest they had was a month from the date of my surgery. That’s ridiculous. Then I was in considerable pain so I had to call after hours to have the surgeon. Call me back. it wasn’t even the surgeon that I used. He saw me the following Monday. Then he told me to keep the appointment for the postop with which was a month after my surgery. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at DeKalb Surgical Associates. On November 15, 2024, I called to schedule an appointment for my husband with Dr. Kennedy due to severe abdominal pain. During the call, I specifically confirmed whether our insurance was accepted, and the staff assured me it was. The earliest available appointment was set for December 9, 2024, so my husband endured his pain for nearly a month, waiting to see this doctor based on a referral. Then, on December 5, 2024, just a few days before the long-awaited appointment, the office called to inform us that they would not see my husband because they do not accept our insurance after all. Dr. Kennedy and ALL his staff have a very caring heart ❤️ for their patients. They care about what is best for you. Both surgeries went well and I had an awesome experience...surrounded by positiveness for a great outcome through both surgeries. My father (80 years old ) also had a tumor removed from his face which was a success and my parents both say, “ Dr. Kennedy is a very caring doctor ...he listens to you and takes care of any questions or problems he may go through.” We love ❤️ the positive attitudes they display! I had a wonderful experience with DeKalb Surgical Associates. There seems to be a lot of confusing and conflicting information out there among medical professionals concerning hyperparathyroidism, and DeKalb Surgical Associates did an excellent job of explaining everything in great detail and answering any and all questions I had, as well as making me feel confident and comfortable with trusting them for my surgery. The entire process was well managed and I felt that they were very attentive to my needs as far as scheduling my consultation and surgery, since I was coming from out of town and also had to coordinate child care. Dr. Kennedy is extremely knowledgeable but also kind and compassionate. He was recommended to me by a local friend who is also a doctor. My surgery and recovery

From the beginning Dr. Kennedy's staff was very helpful, pleasant and informative. I had been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism and was told to just wait and see. I had fatigue, shortness of breath, constipation joint pain and just felt awful. After my own research I found out the only correction for my condition was surgery, it would not get better on it's own with time, just worst. I saw Dr. Kennedy and he said I was a candidate for surgery, which was scheduled the next week. Boy am I glad I had the surgery, I felt better the next day and now 4 weeks out I feel better than I have in the last 2 years. I would highly recommend him and the surgery center. So glad I found him
