DeKalb Dental Center

I've been a frequent patient of DeKalb Dental Center since we moved here six years ago, and they are the best! The entire staff is incredibly friendly and competent. Misty, at the front desk, is the epitome of compassion and efficiency. If you're hurting, she'll get you in ASAP! Dr. Tatum has been exceptionally skilled at treating my teeth, which are having more challenging issues as I age. He's very thorough in explaining procedures, offering options and answering questions. His encouragement and reassurance puts me at ease. He even gave me his home phone number after one tricky procedure, but fortunately I didn't need to use it. He's also very cost conscious on behalf of his patients. On several occasions he unexpectedly did not charge me for certain services. And he doesn't charge extra

I had a very painful tooth, Dr Hayne & Dr. Tatum were able to get the exam/ x-ray and extraction done within two days. They did same day appt as the day I called. When it came to the extraction, it was so quick, and they were very helpful with providing instructions and numbers for emergencies. Very much appreciated!!

My family uses they guys a lot and have alway had good experience. I can't believe somebody would give a dentist a one-star review 😁

Wish I could give zero Stars. Definitely a bait and switch. Explained to them 3 months ago when the appointment was set and then again today at the front desk that I have an epinephrine sensitivity and to please note I will never be able to use it. None of that was a problem until the allegedly licensed dentist Mitchell Tatum came in and told me that if I didn't use epinephrine he would have to refer me. He claimed it was because it was a molar, which is odd because I've had two previous molars removed without epinephrine. I would be careful using this "dentist" if you're needing anything more than a filling as he does not seem to be well informed on newer procedures and medications.

My husband went to Dr. Hayes for an upper denture. The denture never fit properly. He kept going back to have it corrected but, it never did fit. I asked Dr. Hayes what if the denture never fit. He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. We do not recommend this dentist.
