Deerfield Beach Health and Rehabilitation Center

I feel compelled to share my experience with Deerfield Beach Health and Rehab because the conditions there are extremely concerning. The facility appears severely neglected and rundown. There are visible signs of mold, constant water leaks, and broken air-conditioning units that look like they’re literally coming off the walls. Water is frequently left sitting on the floors, creating clear safety hazards for both residents and staff. For a facility responsible for caring for vulnerable people, the physical condition of the building is alarming. The atmosphere inside is just as troubling. The environment feels depressing and chaotic. Residents can often be heard crying out that they want to go home, and I have even heard someone yelling for the police. It is heartbreaking and deeply unset

I am being kept here against my will and nobody will talk to me. The therapist all say I am in good shape and tecovering fast and there is no reason for me to be here. I am not allowed to go to the reception area to ask questions. Told to speak to the social worker. Who is not there, in a meeting or at another location. Has refused any discussion with me for two weeks. She hasn't SAID I refuse, just won't pick up her phone or walk across the hall when the nurses are paging her. There are multiple social workers, is there a rash of kidnapping social workers now? Do I need to call police to help find the missing workers or help me escape? I am scared and this is starting to look like a hostage situation. Asking for my release date has also led to them upping my pill amount, which is already

This place has been terrible with customer service. My dad was sent there for rehab after his knee surgery. While he was there, trying to get a hold of his nurse or whoever was caring for him was impossible. Everytime I call I could not get in touch with anyone. My dad went 10 days without a bowel movement, even after he mentioned that to them, and when I finally got a hold of someone they suggested milk of magnesium... Anyone in the medical field would know at this point the milk of magnesium will not do anything. I had to suggest an enema or glycerin suppository.. After they gave it to him no one followed up on him. Since he was on a machine for his leg, he couldn't move, even after he pulled the call light and screaming for help for nearly two hours no one came to check on him to the po

My Uncle has been there since January 9th fell on his second day, sent him to the hospital where he had brain surgery due to a bilateral brain bleed, leaves the hospital goes back to this nightmare of a place. I visited February 3rd, his roommate fell, my uncle soiled himself at the same time. I pushed the call bell noone EVER came, I had to find the nurse. Since then he fell again. This facility lies to you and acts like they don't know what's going on playing stupid. There's no accountability for the staff or safety measures matter of fact there are zero safety measures in place for the patients. The patients are at a critical risk in this facility. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONE'S HERE!!!!! They will be neglected, not cared for, and are in danger of risk to their body and health. ABSOLUTELY

I want to compliment the therapy staff at this facility.They saved my brothers life over the last 90 days. We were giving him Last Rites before the therapy team worked its magic! My heart felt thank you to the team-starting with the director-Amparo Lopex, OT-Lois, PT-Denise, ST-Morgan! Hope I got them all correctly-beciase they were a godsend to my family! THNK YOU!
