Today, I had an emergency appointment scheduled for 7:40 a.m., and I truly appreciated that the office was running right on time. The assistant who works alongside Dr. Neal was exceptional. When I mentioned that I had recently completed X-rays at another office, she took the initiative to see if they could access those images before taking new ones, which I greatly appreciated. Once I was brought back, Dr. Neal examined my tooth and completed the repair efficiently and professionally. I have been going to Davis Smiles to see Dr. Mak for several years now. I have never had a bad experience. I have several crowns, root canals, and fillings done here and I can honestly say that I am very happy with all of the work they've done on my teeth. I've never had an unpleasant experience with any of the staff and it's the most relaxed dental experience. Rosie at the front has been of great help and been very flexible when I've needed needed to reschedule. I haven't lived in Davis in many years but I still make the drive over as they are the best dentist office I've been to the whole region.

I hadn't been to the dentist in years and was pretty worried about it. Everyone was so caring and welcoming. I didn't get a lecture about oral health, as I feared. Instead, Dr. Neal and the wonderful hygienist, Sonya made me feel at ease with their friendliness and kindness. The lady at the front office (I don't recall her name) was also welcoming and professional. I walked out of my deep cleaning appointment feeling like a big weight had been lifted off me. These folks are the best!

I was referred to this office by my regular dentist for periodontal work. Due to limited availability, it took about four months to be seen. The procedure was a gum/skin graft on my front teeth. Before the procedure, there were already billing issues. The office attempted to charge more than what my insurance (Delta Dental) indicated would be covered. This resulted in extensive back-and-forth to ensure insurance was applied correctly and billing codes were entered properly. We eventually agreed on a total, and I paid a deposit. The only positive thing about this location is the dentist that saw me was kind and helpful. Hygienist did not complete all of the xrays after letting me know we would finish them after the visit due to technical issues. Came in for a cleaning, they offered to fix the bonding on my retainer for an agreed price. Left paying more because they didn't actually verify insurance would cover it, based on other reviews this seems like a common issue. Front desk staff could use some training on customer service. They're fine for a routine cleaning, but I wouldn't trust them to give transparency with dental work pricing. There are better options if you are able to find availability elsewhere.
