Dr Schear conducted a cardiac catheterization on me and we discovered that I had a 99% blockage in the right descending artery with less severe stenosis in other arteries. He proceeded to place a stint, which turned out to be quite difficult given the highly calcified nature of the blockage. He was patient and persistent in his efforts to overcome the hardness of the blockage and consulted with other cardiac surgeons in utilizing various techniques to successfully complete the procedure.
