What a breath of fresh air! My family member had been initially seen by another surgeon at another practice, and was not getting the help they truly needed. I had an illeostomy, fistula and some massive hernias. The surgeons in my hometown explained how complicated my surgery will be for a reversal. So I did my research and came across Dr. David Hoang. I'm so blessed to have found him because he was able to operate 9 hours and fix me right up. He is so caring along with his staff, they listen and don't make you feel like just another patient. Dr.Hoang and his entire team are wonderful! Our father has been pretty sick and once we took him in to see Dr.Hoang to have a few procedures done, we finally have some answers and relief to our father health. My wife had been recommended to Dr. Hoang to have a hernia repair. He came highly recommended and she was told he can do her surgery despite her weight. My wife is a heavier woman and had been rejected by the surgeon in Santa Fe. She was excited for her consultation and couldn't wait. Now the day of the appointment my wife and her sister went back and my sister-in-law automatically told the doctor they're there for my wife's weight ( not the reason) and Dr. Hoang went along with her and didn't bother with my wife's opinion. My first encounter with Dr. Hoang was in November of 2020 after he reviewed by CT scan at the Lovelace ER. I was admitted to the hospital that evening and scheduled for surgery the next morning due to diverticulitis complications. This first surgery required that I have a colostomy while my colon healed. Then in April of this year (2021), Dr. Hoang performed the colostomy reversal and repaired the parastomal hernia that formed. I feel blessed to have been treated by Dr. Hoang. I felt at ease with him and trusted him (literally) with my life. I am eternally thankful to him along with Physician Assistant Elise Piccione and the rest of the surgery clinic team for taking care of me.
