CVS Specialty Pharmacy

Terrible pharmacy horrible service incompetent employees. Medication was ordered 14 days before an appointment at the doctor to administer. Easily over a dozen phone calls and texts messages and chat sessions each time asking the same questions about insurance and billing. At the end of each call or chat session I was always assured that they had all the information necessary and that the medication would be shipped. Guess what it wasn't. To this date the doctor's office still hasn't received the medication that I was supposed to be injected with today and I get to enjoy who knows how many more days of pain because CVS has no clue how to run a business.

I'd give them 0 stars if it would let me. This is the WORST specialty pharmacy I have ever gone through, and if there are any competent employees there (which I doubt), they should be embarrassed to work there. My mother has been trying to get a prescription for her knee, which the insurance approved of and authorized a month ago. Every time I call them they always have another mistake in their computer system that is preventing them from shipping it. Her doctors and I have been trying to correct their stupidity for weeks now and they still have insurance errors in their system that they keep quoting to us no matter how many times we beg them to change it. Please, if you have a choice stay as far away from this company as possible. I am not exaggerating when I say over the last couple years insurance has forced me to use this specialty pharmacy, I can’t think of one time they have not screwed up an order. It’s so bad, I called once and gave them specific instructions not to charge my prescription card and to bill me directly, I was assured they would not charge my prescription card and placed the order. I’m sure you can guess, they charged the prescription card anyway. When I called back they even read the note back to me with the instructions to bill me directly. What a joke. Incompetence and lack of accountability. It’s been over 1 month to ship out my mom’s medication because they couldn’t figure out copay. First said insurance doesn’t pay, then that it need prior authorization, then another prior authorization needed, then upsss sorry we run it through pharmacy instead of medical, then never mind it didn’t even go through insurance the first place, then you got 500+ $ copay, and when I give them manufacturer discount card info that they told me to get they respond: upsss we already shipped it out yesterday, we can’t put in the discount card anymore. Then: oh it didn’t even go through insurance so we don’t know exactly what’s the copay but we will notify you when we know. I cannot understand all the negative reviews for CVS Specialty pharmacy. I have been using them for years. I have no complaints. I receive excellent customer customer service. My meds are always correct and shipped on time. They also make sure to apply any special co pay cards to help with cost. Just today my doctor changed something on my medicine and I spoke with Faith. Faith confirmed the change. I praised her for her excellent customer service and attitude. I believe sometimes you get what you give. Give respect and receive it back. I have used other specialty pharmacies which were nice, but delivery was not reliable. I prefer CVS. No, I do not work here and I am not affiliated. Just a long term customer.
