CVS Pharmacy

Can you move the blonde lady running the drive-thru to an area away from customers? After 8 hours in the ER with my daughter, we swung by CVS to pick up the medication. CVS lady opened the window with this odd, slow, confused expression that I half expected her to tell us they were closed or something. She didn't greet us or anything. She just opened the window and stared at us so.... we gave her the birth date. After she gave us the Rx, we said, "Thank you, have a good night!" and (I swear on my life) she rolled her eyes and said nothing. It was truly baffling. Despite a very long and traumatic day for us, we still chose to be kind and polite to others. I expect the same in return. Ive read negative reviews here; however, my experiences with this location are always positive. Team members are both friendly and helpful. Even yesterday when I went in to pick up a prescription when they were slammed, the pharmacist took her time in answering all my questions. Her smile never waned.

I was pretty frustrated the other day with how things were going with some complications with a prescription, going back and forth with my insurance company, my doctor and the pharmacy. Although I did get kinda snippy with the Pharmacist, she was amazing and patient. I feel pretty badly because I'm sure she deals with a lot of rude people that are a lot worse than I was. I did go back and apologize because I had to pick up the new prescription, just a little reminder that a little kindness goes a long way. They also work their behind off back there in the pharmacy!!!

The automated system for calls is totally unacceptable. The time that the automated voice takes is way too long. But even worse than the wait is the structure for making specific requests or talking to a person. The options are are bizarre, illogical, and complex, often involving oppressive, surreal twists and turns back into automation when all I want is to talk to a person. What about people with certain mental health issues like anxiety? I honestly think CVS has to take responsibility for potentially sending patients into inexplicable breaks from reality because their system is so frustrating. What a joke. Done w/ CVS. Takes an act of Congress to get an actual human on the phone. If you like getting the run-around, calling multiple stores to find your medicine, and waiting on hold for 80 years while you try to get help or answers, by all means... CVS is YOUR pharmacy! But, good luck even getting anyone to answer the phone in the first place or return your call; they don't have time to talk you, and they don't want to. Perhaps Walgreens returns calls... we'll see.
