CVS Pharmacy

Just got my covid booster and my shingles shot today at CVS and it could not have been easier. I thought I could walk in, which I did at one location and it was very crowded, so I turned around and headed back home and decided to try the one closer to my home and sat in my car and scheduled an appointment for 15 minutes later. I arrived, was taken almost immediately, everyone from check-in to actual vaccine administration to checking out at the front with some other purchases I made -- including a $10 coupon on receiving my vaccine there today -- everyone was helpful, genuinely pleasant and will have me returning.

The service I received today was very good. The person that looked into my meds was great. When she ran into a snag the pharmacist came over and worked the problem until all my meds were in order. They even set me up to get my COVID shot today. Today’s experience was so much more better than the first I went in after Rite-Aid transferred my meds over to Wynnewood. 👍🏽 to the pharmacy, I appreciated it.

Clean and well-stocked but the pharmacy staff are literally hostile. There is a touch screen to lookup your prescription which isn’t at all responsive to touch (reminds me of touchscreen ATMs in the 90s). If you enter the wrong thing (which you inevitably do because it doesn’t recognize half the letters you hit), the staff are condescending and impatient. This pharmacy is about as far away from your friendly neighborhood drugstore as you could get. They make the DMV look like a kind and welcoming environment.

Transferred to CVS without my consent by Rite Aid when they closed down, not impressed with my first visit. Clerk took several minutes looking for the meds that we had confirmation were ready to be picked up, and finally gave up on the 4th. I had to insist that he get help to find it given the importance. More aimless wandering ensued until a pharmacist was finally able to help. A waste of my time.

Would give 0 stars if possible. This was a terrible experience. We arrive and we are told that they don’t have the vaccines that we had scheduled. We proceed with just flu and schedule Covid at Rite-Aid on Montgomery ave. The pharmacist who is chewing food while talking to us continues to confuse which person is getting which vaccine and injects them in a way (slowly, triple clutch) that leads my children to remark “This was the most painful shot I’ve ever received!” When I questioned the pharmacist about her prep techniques. The pharmacist stated that she asked my 16 yo to make a decision about prepping all injections for the recipients at once , which is a no-no and can lead to medication error. My 16yo denied this conversation ever took place. I would never go there again. Of no
