CVS Pharmacy Specialty Services

I was hoping that the pharmacy recommended by my physician would be easy. Unfortunately, CVS Specialty is more difficult than my usual Costco Pharmacy. I've been told that my medication is "on the way" when it isn't. I've been told it's been shipped when it hasn't. I've been told it's definitely going to arrive on X date and it doesn't - one time it was four days later, I was almost out of medication, and the person I spoke to when I called for the fourth time said "I don't know what's wrong"... I don't know why you bother having email and text message reminders to refill - I have used those and then found out I have to call anyway. Overall, I wish I could use another pharmacy. Terrible quality control - I got 2 orders of medication from them and both times they were missing a key item. I had to order last minute from a different pharmacy not covered by insurance. I was on call for 1 hour 20 minutes with CVS specialty support team to resolve the issue. They're also not open on weekends or after hours so you can't reach someone for anything urgent then.

I have never had a single good experience with this pharmacy. Constant delays and issues from their negligence that has resulted in permanent damage to my body. If you have any choice at all about your pharmacy, DO NOT utilize this one. I even specifically chose to return to a previous medication I was on, hoping that it being the same medication would make the process of receiving it easier. It was not. I have never made a review of any business in my entire life, because I’m normally a relaxed and laidback individual who doesn’t get bent out of shape. This pharmacy’s incompetence and willful neglect of health and safety of the human beings that are their customers fills me with rage.

It's interesting, I had not thought of leaving a review, but CVS Pharmacy customer service agents recommended a leave a review after a scathing letter about the consistent horrid experience I have had. I suspect this is just another of their auto answers, where they don't even consider the content of the query or complaint, but just say, "Please give us 5 stars." Every system in this company is broken. I feel for the agents I speak with, they are genuinely trying to be helpful, but the systems they rely on have failed 100% of the time across too many interactions. I have asked, repeatedly, to speak with someone in senior management to explain my frustration, never getting a response. There are much better alternatives. Don't waste your time or money with them. Run some place else.

This was the worst experience I’ve had with a pharmacy. I had to call 4 different times to have a script sent to my doctor’s office and every time I called I got different information. Insurance sent me a letter saying they’d covered it. All I needed to do was pay for it and it took me calling 4 times and my doctor’s office calling twice. Then, on the last call their system was down so after already spending 15 minutes talking with someone I had to wait 5 more to get transferred to billing to pay for it. There has to be a better option than this.
