If I could give ZERO stars I would. The people there are very incompetent. First my daughter's doctor sent over a pediatric medication. The hospital CM had to stop the pharmacist from sending out the adult dosage that CVS put in an RX for without consulting the physician!! Completely different than what the physician orginally sent over. Once that was figured out Had my insurance company and CVS three way called multiple times for CVS to verify eligibility and every time they had no clue why they needed to speak to the insurance company. No one knew anything. I had to fight every month to make sure my daughter's medicine would be mailed on time. I chose to drive 2 1/2 hours ONE WAY every month for my daughter to receive her medication just so I don't have to deal with this company. Now I g

CVS Specialty is one of the worst pharmacies I've ever dealt with in my life. My healthcare providers and I have both had issues with them. The only reason I use them are due to requirements by my insurance. If you're reading this and have also had a negative experience, I highly recommend in addition to leaving a negative review that you carefully document your experience and file a formal complaint with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy. They could care less how many negative reviews we leave since most of us are required to use them, but impacting their license to practice in the state will get both theirs and the insurance providers attention.

I hate to even leave one star. They are the absolute worst. How do I get the medicine I need? It’s delay after delay with a different excuse each time. I can’t stress how awful they are if someone from the comp reads this I would love to talk with you about my experience and how u am late receiving the medicine I needed. And they can’t confirm for sure when I will get it. It is a nightmare. Try to use Walgreens specialty if you can. I used them for a year with no problem. I am going to ask my dr to go back to Walgreens specialty. Poorest service ever. Awful. People need their medicine ON TIME!

This company is an absolute nightmare. If I could give zero stars, I would. It took five days of me following up for an urgent medication and repeatedly being told “it’s been approved, we are just processing your order and someone will be reaching out to arrange shipping “ before CVS Specialty finally admitted on a Friday afternoon that they are not even in my network and my Dr will need to be resend my Rx to a different specialty pharmacy. This was my first time working with a specialty pharmacy - if their name ever comes up in the future, I will research myself to find out if any specialty pharmacies are in my network so that my prescriptions can be sent literally anywhere else on the day they are written. AVOID. Just google the alternatives.

Just called to get a rx filled. It was transferred from walgreens specialty to cvs yesterday. Apparently they don’t have it and refused to call to get it transferred again. CVS also said once they get a rx it could take 1 -2 days to get it attached to the profile I just made. CVS just seemed uninterested and unhelpful but my insurance requires CVS. I had just spoken to Walgreens and they said they would be happy to call to get the rx or to send it to another pharmacy. They also said the turn around time to get a call about delivery is 2 hours. Extremely pleasant and helpful. If you can choose I would say Walgreens specialty on piedmont is the way to go.
