Subject: Urgent Complaint — Incompetence and Unprofessional Conduct at CVS Setauket (255 Pond Path) To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my outrage and frustration with the repeated mishandling of my prescriptions by your CVS pharmacy located at 255 Pond Path, Setauket, NY 11720. Last month, I was told there was no pre-authorization for my medication. I returned the next day, and the issue was magically resolved. This month, the exact same problem occurred again — an excuse about “no pre-authorization” with no explanation of what that even means. I was told once again to come back later. I did, and was met with nothing but incompetence and attitude. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, I attempted to pick up my medication and was met by a younger blonde girl with glasses
had a problem getting important medication to me they explained everything I needed to do in order to get my medicine approved by my physician and called me back at a within 30 mins of the time I called to explain everything to me and was so kind and sweet on the phone. Really appreciate the pharmacist’s and tech’s who work here been getting my medication filled here for years thankful for their help!
I always find the staff of the CVS pharmacy, South Setauket, to be helpful and kind. I am especially impressed with pharmacist, Jen Brady. She is professional, kind, and personable. She has been very helpful with my elderly mother and my son who has autism.
I am an R,N. for greater than 38 years at Stony Brook Medical Center. We don't close for lunch. We are there 24/7. I don't expect the pharmacy to be there 24 hours a day but closing for lunch for an hour as opposed to staggering lunches seems counterproductive and not particularly customer friendly. However...I love, love, love my CVS staff at Pond Path, South Setauket. They are always friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond.
