Wonderful experience here today with my 12 year old pup dealing with her heart murmur. Dr. Sharpe was amazing and took the time to explain everything that was going on and next steps. The techs really made the visit! Aiyana and Kristina are fantastic at what they do. They made my girl feel safe and cared for and I can’t thank them enough!

Dr. LaFauci and her CVT Kristina, made our visit so seamless and pleasant. Dr. LaFauci hadn’t seen our Golden since he was a puppy 2+ years ago in Castle Rock, but she treated us as if she had just seen him last week. She clearly took the time to review his records and familiarize herself with his previous diagnosis before our appt.; I found that to be very professional and respectful of our time. She described everything before we had a chance to ask any questions because she was so thorough. We also appreciate the detailed after-visit summary being emailed to us as well as our primary vet, without having to ask. Whilst we won’t be needing another appt., we’d highly recommended this team time and time again.

Dr. Kendra LaFauci is truly an incredible veterinary cardiologist. Our Border Collie, Bella, was initially diagnosed with chronic degenerative valve disease, a heart condition we have had Dr. LaFauci recheck each year since our first consultation in 2022. Amazingly, each annual recheck (the most current in August 2025) is showing an improvement in Bella’s heart condition!! Dr. LaFauci’s genuine care and focused expertise is consistent and her examinations thorough. The professional team that supports her expertise is equally impressive and consistent in their care and attentiveness. What we particularly appreciate about CVCA Alameda East is the cleanliness, comfortable layout and available technology. During Bella’s annual ECGs and echocardiograms we are always allowed to be by our pet’s

Dr LaFauci and her team are always so kind and gentle with my old boy Jonah. He can be nervous with new people, but they have his trust now and he does amazing for his visits- even in a new location. Dr LaFauci is always very clear with her explanations, and I always feel that they truly care about Jonah.

Dr. Samantha Emch — Do not ever trust your pet with this NVM. I will add to this later but here is just the surface - she is a threat to epileptic pets…..1. She consistently left my pet without his pid KEPPRA and more importantly - his pheno. She would only prescribe a 30 day supply, leaving me chasing pharmacies every month for my dog’s very regimented medication schedule. SHE NEVER ADDRESSED RESCUE MEDS OR GAPS IN MEDICATION, DO NOT EVER LET HER CARE FOR YOUR PET. My dog ended up in her hospital in an oxygen chamber for three days due to her repeated negligence. I’m filing with the licensing boards to review her record of care with my pet. PLEASE - DO NOT TRUST YOUR IDIOPATHIC EPILEPTIC DOG IN HER CARE. She can respond to this at any time.
