Crestview Center

I was set up to go to Crestview by the hospital after my hospital stay. I went there today and no one inside had any info about me besides my name. I'm using a walker since I need knee surgery and the girl started quickly leading me and my family down a long hallway. I asked if I could get a wheelchair because it would be easier for me. They had to search for one "that worked", and as we went thru the hallways the smells of pee, poop, vomit, food, and strong bleach were the scents we were walking through. Carpets were filled with stains and dirty. The room I was taken to was run-down, had a broken bed laying on the floor, no chair, another old patient in a bed slumped over, and the room smelled of pee and there were adult diapers sitting on a table, and was dark. I've debated long and hard over leaving a one star review or negative star review if available however because there were some decent people there, I decided to leave a 2 star review. First off, the other reviews stating this place smelled like urine and completely outdated is absolutely correct. Secondly, while the day shift was lovely and had some great nurses, their communication and updating files was subpar leaving my mom in poor care with the night nurses because records were not updated properly. The night nurses also neglected my mother's care multiple times and yelled at her multiple times. When she complained of the bed hurting her, they told her to sit in the wheelchair. Upon entering the lady at the front desk was kind and helpful. The nursing staff were responsive to my father-in-law's requests. However, the smell of urine was overpowering. I've been to 2 other rehab facilities that had absolutely no urine smell, so I know it's possible to negate the smell.

Horrible place. Not very clean , looks run down. Most of the staff are nice. Others need to check themselves and leave the attitude at home. My mom can't eat solid foods , but they keep on giving her that. We have told them many times over. She doesn't get the meds she needs if she request them. I'm just happy my mom is there for a short stay. That's about all I can handle with that place. Highly do not recommend.

the staff here are completely negligent, even when very serious things are brought to their attention they just shrug it off and then the patient ends up back in the hospital. the place itself is dirty and outdated, don’t send your loved ones here.
