Covenant Children's Hospital Emergency Department

This hospital was everything a hospital should be very kind , compassionate, and determined! For so long I kept taking my daughter to different hospitals, doctors etc and no one took me seriously it’s the “first time mom being a little to paranoid “ but I don’t like blue and lifeless is paranoid she stopped breathing a total of 6 times in her life and it wasn’t till her pediatrician saw it happen in her office before someone finally saw I wasn’t crazy we got taken to this hospital and even though so many test came back “normal” they didn’t give up they just kept trying and they talked to other doctors and just kept trying for 3 days till they found it and for that I’m forever grateful they didn’t just walk away from her saying oh we can’t find it sorry or it’s brew which is medical term fo

We were transported over for an emergency appendectomy for my 6yr , the level care she received was amazing! We stayed informed we were treated with respect and most importantly they listened to our concerns! Unfortunately this is not our first time having to be transported to this facility for our daughter! But I am happy to say each time we have visited or stayed over we had the best care ♥️ and I know everytime we are in great hands!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Brought my baby here for a seizure and was dismissed within an hour or two with “he’s totally fine, give him some Motrin and he’ll be okay. May or may not happen again”. Did not do anything to ensure my baby was safe. Had another 12 hours later and went elsewhere to be treated properly (the way they should have here & maybe my baby wouldn’t have been through ANOTHER long seizure, and all of us the trauma) to be swabbed the next day to test positive for Flu A, severely dehydrated, and diagnosed with epilepsy outside of febrile seizures. Would not take my dog to this hospital. They ran absolutely zero tests and did nothing to help. If you’re looking for a quick fix and a bandaid to your health this may be the place for you. I went in for hearing loss overnight, numbness and dizziness at 30 weeks pregnant. They quickly had me in and out and seemed annoyed by the fact that I wasn’t there for anything “pregnancy related “ they brushed it off as fluid on the ear and labeled it an “ear infection. Well this morning I had a follow up with my normal doctor and they said it was absolutely not an ear infection or a build of fluid on the ear but Bell’s palsy. They completely overlooked why I was there and couldn’t have been bothered to properly treat or access me , would not recommend unless you want to be brushed off .

If I could give zero stars, I would. My 2-year-old and I just left the ER, and while they did get us in and out quickly, it was done with no care or compassion whatsoever. The entire visit felt rushed and dismissive. When you come in worried about a sick child, you expect at least a little empathy or reassurance. Instead, it felt like we were just pushed through with no concern. It’s heartbreaking to see what healthcare has come to, no compassion, no bedside manner, just going through the motions.
