Costco Pharmacy

Was told to wait one hour for a very important prescription post discharge from the hospital. After the 1 hour it still wasn't ready and the staff said to wait another hour. One hour later still not ready. I needed this medication before the end of the day. Not to mention the line was almost to the check out aile. I tried to have the prescription transfered to another pharmacy, but transfer would take 48-72 hours. It was my first time using this pharmacy. Never again.

When I first started using the Temecula Costco pharmacy 10 years ago it was the best pharmacy experience I’d ever had. I’ve been a chronic pain patient for 15 years, Walmart and CVS pharmacists treated me like a dope fiend, I didn’t experience that at all when I first started going to this pharmacy. Times have changed in the last 18 months I’ve had issues that were so invasive and uncalled for filling my anxiety medication prescription that my pain doctor cut me off completely. Anxiety is a common issue for long term chronic pain patients, there are times when it’s so bad that my entire body shakes so uncontrollably that I can’t hold a glass or a fork. The Pharmacist here is SO RUDE and has HORRIBLE customer service. She’s a white, blonde, old woman. I complained to her about a different worker who refused to sell my boyfriend Medication I needed because I was at work and he was going to bring it to me and he explained that. I was so upset and disgusted that the worker refused to sell him my medication because “he’s not a member”. She’s an older woman who works the register and she’s on the bigger side, I didn’t get any of their names. Once I complained to the pharmacist she backed up the other worker and was completely rude to me and it got so bad that they had to call the store manager because of how rude the pharmacist was to me. I have been using Costco pharmacy for years because they really did have the best customer service out of all of them especially as a chronic pain patient but as of late there is one pharmacist at this location that is very rude the rudest pharmacist I have ever dealt with is one by the name of Jeannie . She is extremely rude. She sighs and huffs and puffs all the time. She is not helpful in anyway and just very disrespectful. It’s unprofessional. And there’s a reason this pharmacy has gone down in reviews over the last year. It’s really a shame that you have these young rude, disrespectful people working there ruining your reputation.

Yes, the wait is usually long & the store is always crowded. I can understand how some of this may be out of their control. BUT, the level of professionalism at this pharmacy is poor and embarrassing. Staff will make comments on the price and type of prescription you pick up, after so long of just being uncomfortable with the staff I just ended up switching. Glad I don’t have to go back.
