Costco Pharmacy

My son's medications include two that are difficult to obtain, and one that is a controlled substance. After experiences with 3 other pharmacies, I can say that Costco is the best pharmacy hands down. Small independent pharmacies don't have enough clout to get regular supplies of the difficult-to-obtain meds, and other chain pharmacies are constantly changing staff, and so don't communicate well internally. At Costco, the pharmacists have consistently met our needs, they always notify us, and - as another commenter said - the Costco discount is often less expensive than the price of drugs through my Medicare Part D plan.

The pharmacist Purvi is the so called manager of this establishment. She is not well versed in the systems that this pharmacy utilizes. Unfortunately my PHI was compromised by this pharmacy.

This evening (9/02) I went to Costco to pick up a prescription for my dog and was told it was put back because I didn’t get there in time. I asked Brian if I could put a request in to refill it, thinking I would have to wait until Monday. Brian then confirmed my dog’s prescription and even though it was 30 minutes before closing, went a filled it for me. He is always super helpful when it comes to information on prescriptions and is speedy when checking out customers. This evening I could see he was very busy and most likely working alone on registers so for him to take the time meant a lot, especially after the person before me was not the most friendly.

Everyone who works here is kind and polite and efficient. I switched to Costco from CVS a year ago now, and am amazed at the Costco Member pharmacy discounts which are better than my prescription insurance. I love that I can shop while my script is filled, too. It is also much easier to reach someone by phone and get any question answered! Thanks Costco pharmacists and assistants!

Costco beats Medicare Part D when it comes to prescription drug prices. I went to this pharmacy on Wednesday @ 11:30 am and waited about 3 minutes. I picked up a 3-month supply of multiple prescriptions and saved $43. The Costco prices were significantly cheaper than my Medicare Part D plan prices for the same meds. Lesson learned: Always ask about the Costco prices.
