COSSIO pediatrics

We were visiting the Savannah area from Atlanta and were terribly worried about our 13 month old’s fever which had not subsided in 5 days. Even though we were not established patients, Dr. Cossio and his staff worked us in and provided the most compassionate care possible. Dr. Cossio took his time with us, interacting with our daughter and letting her play with his light before he shone it into her ear, really allowing her to warm up to him before poking or prodding. I have never seen her so at ease with someone looking into her ears. I sincerely wish we lived closer because Dr. Cossio would, beyond the shadow of a doubt, be our Pediatrician. He gave us answers, clearly explained everything, and left us feeling so much better. It was like he (metaphorically) wrapped his arms around us and

All my girls love Dr. Cossio. He has an amazing way with babies and children. His wonderful reputation is well deserved. Since he is so busy, there are sometimes long wait times in his office. I attribute that to taking more time than "necessary" with his little patients to make sure they get the care they truly need. I too, on rare occasions, have been frustrated at the wait times, especially with a walk in. But, the frustration is on me and my sick child, not them. His staff do the best they can - getting rude or ugly and trying to "share" my frustration isn't fair to the staff. Some parents have a more difficult time not sharing ;)

Change the name passers-by wouldn't even know where it is. I had to call them from the parking lot.
