Cordell Memorial Hospital

This hospital is the second worse hospital. It is ran by NPs that don't know what they are doing. I have been there twice with wheezing and shortness of breath and nobody knows what they are doing as NPs. Even my nurse practitioner that is next door to them knows more than the NPs at the hospital. One NP from yesterday prescribed me three day supply of antibiotics and wouldn't admit me and I was still wheezing when I left the hospital but nobody thought to look to see that my blood gases was abnormal and tonight the same thing. It's alright I will show it to Dr. Hill tomorrow since he listens and pays attention to his patients unlike these hospitals that are ran by NPs and not actually doctors. The only thing good about the hospital is the nurses.

This place is amazing. Been here for a few days now. Nurses and nurses aids all of them seem in great spirits, and willing to help. Anything you need there right on top of it. They do it with smiles on their faces. Been in and out of the hospital for a long time now and so far the quality of care here is excellent if I could give more than five stars, I would.

*Edited to add that not even 24 hours after getting to the ER they have lost my family members clothes and can’t find them. We are pretty sure they were thrown away. This hospital has been nothing but a headache. The hospitalist was not the friendliest either. I don’t think we will use this hospital again. Had to bring a family member in to the ER this evening. Chose this hospital because multiple people recommended it. The NP in the ER was very pleasant. But whoever Brooke is.. is EXTREMELY rude. I have worked in healthcare for years and I would NEVER talk to a patient or patients family the way she spoke to us. Very poor bedside manner. That seems to be a common thing in western Oklahoma.

Clean and efficiently ran hospital. Low waiting time. Quick to offer assistance. Caring nurses and Doctors and the folks at the desks are very helpful and cordial. I trust this hospital completely!

I've been to both the ER and the Clinic, and from what I've seen, they are incredibly amazing to work with. The nursing staff at both facilities were extremely kind, patient, and a dream to work with. I saw Dr. Gallegos at the ER and Dr. Abernathy in the clinic, and both were incredibly professional, and they talked me through my symptoms and possible causes. This hospital uses SSM Health MyChart, and I have been able to easily read the notes online from all of my previous appointments, even ones that I had forgotten from six years ago! This is amazing to me because I often forget smaller details. I had been going to a clinic in Clinton, but I will probably be focusing on going to Cordell from now on because of how easily accessible, effective, and considerate their care is.
