Copake Veterinary Hospital

One of the best recommendations I have been given was to take my dog to Copake Vet for care. That was almost 30 years and a few dogs ago! From the minute my dog and I check in until we check out, each person we encounter is pleasant and helpful and treats my dog and me with respect and kindness. Everyone is professional in his/her role and capacity. The folks at the front desk are always good-natured, offer personal attention, and are knowledgeable about the practice. The the vets (and techs) ask relevant questions and listen to both what I ask and what I say. I always feel as though I am given a thorough assessment and comprehensive (and comprehensible) explanation. If options are in play, they are well-laid out. Needed an emergency appointment for my senior dog while camping nearby. They got him in same day, and they were very patient with me even though I was so scared for by boy and practically frantic. Turned out to be the worst news ever. The doctor delivered the news with grace, and was was able to manage my boy's symptoms keeping him comfortable enough for a few more days. This allowed us time to spoil him and say goodbye while camping. When the time came they even fit us in last minute again on a weekend. AND despite the fact that they were very busy, all the staff wase still patient and compassionate at all times. Everyone at Copake Veterinary is very nice and always able to answer all of my questions. They provide the best veterinary services I've ever had at a very affordable cost. We live in Great Barrington but choose to make the trip to Copake Vet because of how great they are and how fair the prices are. They truly care about your pet and not about making as much money as they can. I will stay with Copake Vet for as long as they are still around. ❤️

Everyone is always so nice and inviting . They are really gentle with my animals. I've been bringing my animals to Copake for many years and Dr duryea is one of the best vet doctors I've ever dealt with. My dog is always so comfortable with him and any of the staff members there. I highly recommend Copake vet when they are looking for a great vet who cares.

Both the assistant and the doctor were very attentive to our questions and made us feel comfortable. We also appreciated that they did not push for additional tests unnecessarily for our senior dog.
