Cookeville Family Medicine and Urgent Care

Very unfriendly reception room. Both sliding glass reception windows were frosted so you could not see in. They kept them closed. They also had a very unfriendly sign stating that if the windows were closed to not knock on them but to sit down. Sign stated this was for patient privacy. It is a reception counter, not an exam room. You might as well put an intercom or phone on the wall, or better yet an automated kiosk, if impersonable is what you are going for.

Wasn't sure if I had the tail end of a strep throat infection or a sinus issue. After reading the reviews for 4 other urgent care locations in the Cookeville area, I came here because of the good reviews. As a first time patient, I was in and back out in less than an hour. Notified by my pharmacy 15 minutes after leaving my prescription was ready for pickup. Everyone that I was in contact with was professional and friendly...NO rudeness or condescension as was reviewed for some of the competition for Dr. Vivian and his staff. I will wholeheartedly recommend them to friends and family.

For future patients if you are looking for a doctor? The two times I have seen him he was great . I had called to make an appointment for a cold and was told to walk in for a cold just come before lunch . As I work every day in Nashville I took this day off to be seen by a doctor. Long story short the office staff is completely rude other than the First Lady I spoke to at the window. Dawn needs a new job she’s the office manager. The Dr walked out and I had said I need to speak with him and he told me to leave him alone . I would just pick else where . If you can’t have good customer service you shouldn’t be the face of the office! RUDE

I was very upset, I walked in to be seen at 11:38am today and was told that they stopped taking walk ins at this time because they were going to lunch in 20 minutes and to come back at 1pm. I said no thanks I will take my business elsewhere. I went directly across the street to the NEW Cookeville-Urgent Team (it is called) and was seen right away and was done by 12:15 pm. I told the receptionist what had happened at this place and she said that they rotate their lunches so their patients can be seen as soon as possible. So if I were you, I would go there instead of this place. I will never step foot into this place again. Are your lunches that important, really? If so, your patients are not. You will lose business that way. This establishment was not a 4.9 rating at all.

Front office staff was great, and the PA was very professional and friendly. When offered an injection of steroids, I was a little surprised, however my symptoms improved so much over the next 10 hours that I was amazed. Very happy with the service.
