Cone Health Urgent Care at MedCenter Mebane

Everything was so professional. The best staff. Ms. Debbie was so nice and presentable with the biggest smile...love it. During my wait for the Doctor was a bit longer than expected because I thought I was forgotten about until I got the attention while browsing through the nurse's area. Then after that it was super. Staff was a little busy which I do understand. In the future if I'm needing the services again I will return. Thanks so much! Nice and clean work place. Wonderful 👌. Love the sign in sheet that way everyone gets their turn in the order of the time you entered. There was a nice security guard present to my surprise. He so nice as well. Thanks again!

No one likes to go to urgent care, let's face it. Not just for needing help/treatment for something unplanned, but sitting with sick people in the waiting room and rude people everywhere. Cone in Mebane inevitably has the snotty and coughing people in the lobby, you'll have that everywhere. That is where the stereotype of urgent care ends for this facility. Perhaps I had such an awesome experience because it was Christmas Eve, and everyone was in the holiday spirit? Then again, they all were having to work on Christmas Eve. That speaks volumes for the moral. Every single employee I encountered was very nice, smiling, and thankful for my visit. I arrived at 8am when they opened, already 6 or 7 people waiting. We brought our 5-year-old daughter to Mebane Urgent Care with flu-like symptoms and concern for appendicitis. We waited over an hour to be seen, only to be told immediately that they had no imaging and we needed to go to a hospital. We were directed to UNC Hillsborough ER since it was only 15 minutes away. At UNC Hillsborough, staff were surprised she hadn’t been tested for flu/RSV/COVID at urgent care (standard for her symptoms) and advised that Hillsborough doesn’t have a pediatric surgical unit - meaning she would need transfer to Chapel Hill regardless. After appendicitis was confirmed, we faced an additional 3+ hour delay waiting for transport that could have been avoided if we’d been sent to UNC Chapel Hill initially. Absolutely phenomenal! The front desk lady that I spoke with whose name I think was, Debbie was very pleasant over the phone! Not only that her personality in person matched her warm disposition that she displayed via phone. She was exceptionally detailed and attentive to my concerns. The nurse was equally attentive to me and very personable (and I could tell she takes good notes). The doctor that I saw that evening was exceptionally kind and mild tempered. She listened to me even though I wasn’t there for a serious issue-I just had a panic attack and couldn’t shake it. The experience that I had with this medical staff of professionals was the very definition of what medical care should feel like. I recommend 10/10!

The staff was courteous. The receptionist was wonderful and very pleasant to speak with. The nurse and the Dr were as well. There wasn’t a wait to be seen or for the lab results. We were in and out. One of the best experiences I’ve had at an urgent care.
