Cone Health Urgent Care at Burke Mill Village

I had a scheduled appointment at 5:30 pm for a sports physical for my 14-year-old, healthy son. We were not able to get into his pediatrician due changes in providers availability, so it was recommended we come to a Cone Urgent care (I work for Cone). 30 minutes prior to his scheduled visit, the urgent care called and informed me that the provider would not see him due to a history of fracture (5 months ago). I was not given a clear explanation for the refusal, and no reasonable alternative was offered at that time. The provider Lindsay Scales Morgan spoke to me on the phone and informed me that it is her PERSONAL policy not to see kids for sports physicals who have had a fracture. I had an excellent experience at Con Health Urgent Care. From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, kind, and efficient. The check-in process was smooth, and I was seen very quickly, much faster than I expected. The medical team took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the visit. The facility was clean, well-organized, and everyone worked together seamlessly to provide quality care without unnecessary waiting. It’s clear they prioritize both speed and thoroughness, which is rare to find. I highly recommend this urgent care center for anyone needing prompt, professional, and compassionate service. They truly go above and beyond!

I would still recommend this urgent care overall. From the moment I arrived until I left, everyone I interacted with was polite, professional, and respectful, and the visit itself went smoothly. Unfortunately, I was told by the provider that prescriptions would be called in to my pharmacy and that I should start them that evening. When I arrived at the pharmacy a couple of hours later, I was informed that no prescriptions had been sent and nothing was in their system. This was very disappointing, especially since I’m feeling pretty awful and now have to wait another day to hopefully receive the medication, which delays my recovery. Aside from this issue, I was very pleased with the care I received.

Rarely leave reviews but felt it’s needed and well deserved. This is the 2nd time we’ve been here.. we use Novant for 95% of our care, the other 5% is spent between PENTA and Atrium. I will never go to a different UC. This is hands down the best, quickest, and kindest UC we have had to visit. Thank you to the receptionist, nurse, and provider for their care and compassion of my daughter.

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and very caring. Above and beyond professional. My son received the greatest care this morning and super fast. His nurse super patient. His PA amazing and calmed him down. She even sat with him for a few minutes asking about him. Beside manner AWESOME!!!The office was very clean. The clinic space very comfortable and peaceful even in an emergency situation. Snacks in the lobby while waiting with comfortable rain sounds coming from the desk. We appreciate you all.
