Complete Care at Monmouth

This is the third of three sisters receiving care at Complete Care (Monmouth Care Center) in Long Branch. Each of the sisters went in for a different reason: sub acute rehab, long term care, and now palliative care. The staff has been warm, welcoming and understanding. I have every confidence that they will take care of my family member as she comes to the end of her life. The palliative care team seems so seamlessly coordinated with the team at Monmouth Medical Center. It makes a very sad and stressful time a little easier.

“Now Hiring/Help Wanted” signs posted all over the entrance to the property which equates to the following: 1. Understaffed 2. Poor staff retention 3. Per-diem employees who receive no employee benefits and just fill-in. After visiting this facility, I refused to have my mother transferred here from Monmouth Medical Center and I took her home instead with the wonderful assistance of Central Jersey VNA.

Poor communication with administration. I was told that my mom’s insurance wouldn’t allow her to stay any longer and she still needed a lot of rehab. So they had me change insurance companies so she could finish her rehab. One week later they told me she had to leave. They couldn’t handle her dementia. There was no change in her in that week. They knew exactly how my mom was. Also, when we left, some of my mom’s clothes were missing and she had 2 shirts that didn’t belong to her. And the head nurse in rehab has some attitude. I gave it 2 stars because the physical therapist was amazing. He really worked hard with my mom. And my mom’s aide was very helpful.

The staff at Complete Care are amazing - caring, patient, and always attentive. The place feels warm and welcoming, and our mother is so well looked after. It gives us real peace of mind knowing they’re in such good hands.
