My experience at Companion Animal Hospital was excellent from start to finish. The team was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in the well-being of the animals in their care. From check-in to the exam, everything felt thoughtful and well organized. The technicians and veterinarians were thorough and took the time to walk me through each step, making sure all my questions were answered and that my pet was calm and comfortable throughout the visit. Really liked the vet, was willing to listen to everything in our history and form a comprehensive plan out of that. Also, pricing was very reasonable. The appointment itself was priced at about $50 and then all of the other stuff added on. I had gone in expecting to pay around $400 for a new vet and meds and not prescription food for my cat with IBD and I walked out with everything plus a big prescription bag of cat food for under $300. Very happy

I was able to take my pet rabbit here for a check up and needed them to shave off an area that was matted fur. They did the checkup on a Monday, but only do procedures on Tuesday. So I had to bring her back for her shave. But they did a really good job in checking her out and fixing her fur. All personnel were very kind and explained how the procedure would go. I will be bringing her back for any other check ups or problems as my bunny gets older.

I chose not to take my dog of 15 years here for euthanasia because, before he was even seen, I was given a list of charges. They wanted to bill me for vaccines, test him for a virus, and explained that if he tested positive, he wouldn’t be cremated but instead kept in a freezer—charging me for each day he remained there. That felt very cold and insensitive during such a difficult time. Instead, I went to Boca Chica Animal Hospital, and I can’t recommend them enough. The staff was incredibly kind and compassionate—they even helped me carry my dog out of the car. I was able to be with him while he was sedated and during his final moments, and they gave me time to grieve afterward. They also offered cremation services at a very affordable cost.
