I went to the emergency room in a panic. But Dr.Davis and two nurses, Perez and the other guy (whose name I didn’t get)made the experience so much better! The kindness and professionalism was refreshing. Dr.Davis is an incredible doctor, she was patient and asked a lot of questions. I will say the hospital feels a little old and not so well kept, but the people that work there have all of my respect!
I'm only giving this place 1 star since they mostly allow the local homeless with no where to sleep in winter sleep there and get warm. Unless you are stopping by to warm up in the lobby in the winter then I implore you to not go to this hospital, my girlfriend had the misfortune of being treated at the ER in this hospital. 5-8 hours of waiting in order to see a doctor is the norm here, and usually once you are seen you are given the minimum to treat you in order to discharge you as fast as possible, staff is rude, and the female security guard routinely shows disrespect, attitude and yells at patients, she even sometimes kicks out patients before they see the doctor in the ER.
I have had to go to the hospital over and over because it's the closest one to me and I had repeated chest pain over the course of about 2 years. They always just checked to see if there were heart problems and then sent me home. They would leave me in the waiting room for hours. I would sit there all day literally. I finally reached the point where I refused to go to this hospital. Finally my ex took me downtown to Northwestern Hospital. They took me in, they saw my symptoms, and they immediately took me to the ICU because I was very very sick and required surgery. This place is also disgusting and the staff are very rude. I was in the hospital bed once and was trying to get a nurse to help me (they don't have nurse call buttons like a regular hospital), and I called and called for he
Terrible hospital don’t recommend! Very dirty and you will wait hours 5+ just to be seen don’t come !! Very rude nursing staff too
It's August 14th and I came in the ER here at around 8 pm August 13th. I was patiently waiting to be seen, which I did but they said they were going to check up on me and told me to wait in the waiting room. I fell asleep because I was so tired from traveling from a different STATE! They didn't even bother calling my name or tapping me on the shoulder to let me know that I was at least discharged.... they just left me in the waiting area while in pain after I told them that I wasn't ok... PLEASE, DONT EVER COME TO THIS HOSPITAL. I PROMISE you will regret coming here and wasting time.
