Customer Reviews
I have never been treated so poorly by a care provider in my life. The lack of compassion and professionalism I received at this appointment was breathtaking. I have been a patient with this practice for over 30 years, first as Niskayuna Family Practice and now as Community Care Colonie with the same primary care doctor the entire time until her recent retirement. I suffer from severe rheumatoid arthritis and over the past 15 years I haven't found a medication that consistently works. I was prescribed Motrin as a pain reliever which ultimately caused multiple stomach ulcers. Approximately 7 years ago after realizing I could not take the Motrin, I met with my primary care physician along with the pain management consultant from this office and I was prescribed opiate pain relievers. Upon t
I want to share my experience with this practice in hopes it helps others make an informed decision, the same way I rely on reviews when looking at my care options. I’ve been a patient at Community Care Family Practice since I was little. For years, we loved the old office — the familiarity, the genuine doctor–patient relationships, and the overall feeling that the staff truly cared. You could call the office and be met with kindness, patience, and professionalism every single time. When we learned the practice was moving to the new Colonie location, we didn’t mind the 30-minute drive. We assumed the new, larger facility would offer an even better experience. But when nearly all the original staff began phasing out or retiring, we could sense something was off. Even then, we stayed because
I had an appointment at 10:40 AM. As I was preparing to leave, I experienced a sudden spike in a headache, which caused a slight delay. Knowing I might be running late, I called the office and selected the same phone option I used when scheduling the appointment. I remained on hold throughout my drive, including while stuck behind slow traffic on a single‑lane road. By the time I arrived at the office at 10:56 AM, I was still on hold. When I entered the waiting area, it was empty. The front‑desk associate did not ask for my name and immediately informed me that the provider had cancelled my appointment as a no‑show. I attempted to explain that I had been on hold with the office the entire time, but the associate did not seem interested in hearing the circumstances. When I asked why my call
Unfortunately, my experience with this practice was not a good one. I saw a Nurse Practitioner here for a while. She was kind but was not responsive to my medical concerns. I went almost a year waiting for a home kit medical test; that I asked for multiple times. I switched to Dr Berman. I saw her a few times and found her to be dismissive and cold every time. Her first words were that I had a lot of specialists and it was clear that was a turn off for her. She presented herself as cold, uncaring, and dismissive. Dr. Berman told me in writing that I need to live with it. She was referring to my pain, numbness and swelling in my ankle after one X-ray… I’m 52 and was looking for a solution… but apparently I should just suffer because she’s a non-investigative doctor who stops at the first
Since Dr. Eaton retired the office professionalism has gone down hill. I called in for a prescription on Tuesday and by Wednesday I called the office as I had a text stating I needed to make an appointment within 30 days if I want my prescription filled. After a discussion with the office manager, I went ahead and scheduled. I was assured they would call in my prescription! Nothing on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday which I then called the office which “supposedly “ is open until 12:00 will it’s not! The recording says the samething over again “someone will be with me shortly” after 20 minutes I finally hung up. This is totally unacceptable. It was a simple call to Walmart like always. But on Friday the nurse said oh I don’t know why it didn’t go through so I’ll send it again. Why
