Columbine Family Practice

I decided to go to Columbine Family Practice because I worked there for a short time in 2005. It has been totally remodeled with a few other practices. The front desk was efficient. I was seen by the physician in a timely matter which is important to me. The lab person got my blood drawn the first time which doesn’t usually happen. I give the practice an A all around. I was referred to Columbine Family Practice and Dr. Borja by a friend and I can't tell you how impressed I am with the entire practice from the staff at the front desk to the nurse that checks vitals and Dr. Borja herself. I truly feel like my doctor and I are in a collaborative relationship about my health. I wasn't rushed but was listened to and heard. We had a conversation where my thoughts and concerns were heard. My insurance doesn't work with the lab on the premises and the front desk supervisor, Joe, jumped in got my lab switched and my appointment canceled within a few hours. Both the in-take and post visit administrators were welcoming and genuinely happy to assist in any way they could. Dr. Borja was so kind, BUT I came here to warn you. I should have been on more of an alert when I heard the client before me. They were checking out and reassured the front desk that their hesitation to trust their payment collections was due to the office charging him out-of-network. I thought, "I've already confirmed with my insurance that this won't happen to me." Although I had done so, Dr. Borja's office insisted that they sent something out of network because they "rely on their clients to know more about their insurance." I'm with Select Health, and both the carrier and the dr office confirmed that this was in-network. After my annual visit, they sent the labs out of network and I'm being charged nearly $600. Staff is friendly and professional. My provider had good bedside manner but more importantly was very knowledgeable and knew what to do. Quite happy with my first visit overall. Highly recommend this office to friends and family.

I have been going here for a few years now. The service is always been great. From the reception desk to the medical assistants and then the provider, it is always seamless. I am very lucky to have found FNP-C Sarah Wierda. She actively listens and looks at all aspects of each situation to help come up with the best solution(s) that would work into one's lifestyle. I would highly recommend coming here to anyone looking for a community of providers looking out for their patients and their medical needs.
