Colonial Living and Rehabilitation of Sealy

We moved my mom here from a horrible skilled nursing center called Solera in the Katy area. The difference was night and day. The employees here actually cared for my mom and I feel she got the best treatment we could've asked for. I spent a lot of time here day and night and got to know a lot of people here. I could never thank them enough for the care and respect given to my mom. I read another review about odors. After each meal the employees were quickly taking care of the patients and their bathroom needs. Of course there's going to be odors during that time but they were always gone as fast as they came because the staff was taking care of it.

My grandaddy has been living there for some years and when I go visit him all the staff is great, place smells ok and is clean! I've eaten supper with him often and food always very good. Portions generous which surprised me. Thanksgiving has been super nice the times I've been there with him. It's a good place!

My wife, because of a chemical imbalance was delusional, very paranoid and could not walk without aid because of balance problems. She was very weak and could barely talk. She is 79 years old. My daughter and I scouted out several Rehabilitation Centers ranging from nearby and up to 30 miles away and chose the Colonial Belle. Here is why - - One of the first feature that drew us was the keen interest they had in my wife. As we watched the interaction between the employees there and their skill in handling the people under their care was very revealing to the point of being remarkable. Some of the folks there were very weak and old, others in all states of just being old, some cantankerous, and others who were just not very aware of their surroundings - but the very skilled care-givers at C

Extremely unprofessional and uncaring. I am so very shocked at disappointed by how this place treated my mom. She did not deserve it. I would not send my worst enemy to this place. Really sad.
