If you have family here I strongly urge you to check on them. I delivered an order for a resident, and the conditions of the building were beyond concerning. My 2 stars are for the sweet and helpful employees who obviously care about their patients, however, the stench of feces in the hallways, the empty green fish-tank, the dust coating the vents, and the roach that fell on me from the ceiling were all red flags of patient's health in the facility. While the employees were beyond nice, it took about 5 minutes to be let in as nobody was paying attention to the door. I would think as for security that would be a requirement. The employees did not have knowledge of the location of the specific rooms. This would concern me as if my loved one had an emergency, how long would it take to find th
Taking good long term care of our friend who is a resident there. Staff are always friendly and helpful! Thank you care team.
My sister was taken there and I was never notified of any changes in her condition, she passed away and still wasn’t notified by the facility but through hospice no phones calls where never made letting me know of her health deteriorating so she could have family members by her side . Not once have I seen facility who so unwelcoming or helpful during a visit nor call lights being answered in a timely manner getting through to facility was also a nightmare. My sister had some issues with some the care provided but was told they look into and instead was brushed off. My biggest mistake was not bringing her home the first day of visiting her there. My last conversation with her was please come something wrong and there listening to me.
My dad that’s stayed here for a couple of weeks now. The building looks a run down but has a lot of character to it. The staff are amazing, from the first day it was apparent, the way I saw the staff talk to one another, the way the staff talked to the residents there, I could definitely tell that they have a good positive atmosphere. My dad is very picky with nurses and treatment, so it’s a big deal when he has nothing bad to say about this place treatment of him. Also, he has gotten better from his stay here, compared to a different rehab center that’s beautiful and fancy on the outside but lack the care needed. This place may not look new, but the people, and little things they do to make things more comfortable for the patients makes it 💯 awesome!
My wife was a resident at Colonial Columns for several months, and eventually I relocated her to new place in Woodland Park. I have to say that I am sad to relocate her because of the absolutely wonderful staff at Colonial Columns. I can say, without a doubt, that she had excellent care there. The nurses, and all of the staff seemed to go out of their way to get to know her, help her with all of her needs, and treat her with real class, respect, and professionalism. I know that it is not easy to deal with people with serious limitations, but the people there have demonstrated a caring attitude that is obvious to all of us who come in contact with them. The staff has often gone out of their way to assist me and my daughter with whatever our needs were, while extending the best of care to m
