Cohen Children's Northwell Health General Pediatrics at East Patchogue

It’s second time I called who ever answered had nasty attitude and don’t listen to date of birth. Interrupted me many times! I called to know if my child has next appointment or if I can schedule his Physical. The lady better keep it cool! Let parents finish with their sentences and questions. First time it was horrible too.

I highly recommend Dr. Sheikh-Zakir. My son has been seeing her for 2 years, since his previous pediatrician retired. I was initially concerned that we wouldn't get the same level of care as we had with our previous pediatrician but she has exceeded all expectations. She provides exceptional care to my adolescent and always puts him at ease. She even came out to our car in the parking lot once when my son's anxiety was so high that he wasn't able to enter the office. Her warm demeanor and thorough approach make both adolescents and parents feel comfortable during visits. She is always available to meet our needs whether it's an appointment in the office or a phone consultation.

I highly recommend Dr. Amna Sheik for her outstanding professionalism and empathetic approach. Her ability to listen and address my concerns has been invaluable, especially as a new mom. Dr. Amna's expertise and caring nature make her an exceptional healthcare provider. Im so happy my husband found her!

I've been taking my son here 4yrs now and never had a problem making an appointment until now. Whoever the receptionist who is lucky I do not remember her name is gonna say I cannot make an appointment because they did not have the updated health insurance card on file how does that even make any sense. I said to her I will bring the card when I'm coming to his appointment because I'm out of state now and did not have it with me which she claimed she would not be able to hold that date unless she had the card. I have made many appointments with different doctors and even if I DON'T have my card handy they will say just bring it when you arrive so I don't understand what was the problem. I moved from queens few years back, and this branch of Cohen pediatrics was nearby. So I decided to go with them. The staffs are horrible in their behavior, not friendly to the kids and they work for pediatrician office 🤦! The doctor and staff are not good as well, they do the basic and try to rush. But the Nurse or doctors are better than the front desk staff. Not good at all! My kiddo is 4 and everytime I went there, these people was just bad and not friendly. #northwellheath should figure out to train them on customer service.
