Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital

The Cleveland Clinic should be setting the Standard of Care on the Treasure coast. Unfortunately it has a dysfunctional echo system that makes it difficult to get first in class doctors to provide the care patients need. Outcomes are not measured to get best results over quantity. I see many great doctors leaving due to lack of support or resources. The Staff which do not have medical degress are robotic in patient care taking over after your medical questions vs MD response after office visits. Our Family values the hard work nurses and medical professionals do dedicating lives to patient care. We have tried our best to provide a clear plan to work in synergy with dedicated professionals but it is like trying to get a fish to climb a tree. Knowing what good looks like being around it my w

Had to take my grandson into the ER for Broken hand. The wait time is always ridiculous we were there about 5 hours most of the time in waiting room. In the waiting room they brought in a man steadily puking into a clear bag. Yes I looked away but they sat him fairly close and his puking sounds made me want to puke. Just a few mins later another man comes in with a puke bag and he's puking as well just across from us. I'm now having to think about sitting in my car so I dont need a barf bag. When we 1st came in nice register lady who did her job proficiently and pleasant. Then we go into Triage and nurse was OK but the floor was disgusting and trash was pretty full. My husband went to the emergency room on February 3rd after passing out at home. Excellent care diagnosed him with a DVT in the leg and a pulmonary embolism in his lungs. The critical care he received there was wonderful. He was sent to interventional radiology where his pulmonary embolism was removed. The day was flawless as everyone involved saved his life and we will be forever grateful.

After multiple bad experiences here… I can give these 5 stars!!! My dad was seen in the hospital for a “tia”… loved the neurologist and wanted to follow up with him and switch. Fast forward to last Thursday after a long 3 week wait to get in we see another Dr in the department… she sends us to IRCC for further testing and they end up admitting him… we are on day 5 in the hospital and I can say this Dr and the nurses on 4 North are amazing!!! This Dr has been running every test to find out what’s going on and after 10 years of the unknown we have a Dr wanting to find answers!!!! Jessica P was our nurse and today we have Kathy both are amazing!!! And Dr Fourscand and Dr Folds… also equally amazing!!! Thank you for this wonderful experience!!!

Had quadruple bypass on Nov 03 performed by Dr. Velazco. My wife and I were impressed with everyone from office visit, preop, surgery and recovery. I encountered at least 8 different nurses and all were incredible. All were happy and seemed to enjoy working there. Food was reasonable but the staff delivering the food were over the top polite as well. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job and were also pleasant to work with. Some will probably think I have some connection to this hospital but as God is my witness it was my first experience there. Thanks to all that aided in my treatment and recovery.
