Claro Dental - Lubbock

I used to love this office and its staff were friendly and efficient. Since the office name change and Dr. Smith moving away my experience has been so so poor. Do not come here unless you want to wait around for over an hour for someone to show up to clean your teeth. Very poor experience. I will not be going back.

When Dr. Smith and his staff were at this location, this clinic was amazing and very professional. Apparently it’s under a new name new doctors and new stuff. I had a pretty bad experience starting off with my check-in. My appointment was at nine. I got there 10 minutes early at 9:15. I was still sitting in the lobby apparently because they couldn’t verify my insurance mind you it’s the same insurance I’ve had for years. They finally take me to the back. It’s 10 AM and I still haven’t been seen. I basically ended up leaving without being seen and rescheduled for another time. Hopefully my next experience will be more pleasant.

If I could have given a NEGATIVE star rating I would have. The dentist was almost incomprehensible due to his heavy accent. The rinse mechanism malfunctioned after my cleaning so I had to sip tap water, rinse, and allow the tech to insert the suction tube to remove the water. The X-ray equipment was malfunctioning, yet based on the pix, I was diagnosed with three cavities! Two of these were in IDENTICAL places on the identical L/R tooth. I left!! I found another dentist and within 5 days had REAL X-rays with functioning equipment and ABSOLUTELY NO CAVITIES.

I have been going to Frankford for five years before it changed. The office manager Stacy and the three young ladies who assisted with x rays were very professional. The Doctor Danso in my opinion was very unprofessional. He needs significant training in customer relations. I could not understand him because of his accent and one of the assistants said they were trying to help him with his accent. I would not recommend him and will probably look for another dentist. Dr.Darkor is a great dentist. Detail oriented and willing to take time with each patient to be thorough. My whole family goes to him.
