Dr. Yen and her team have been our dentist for 30 years. They do a fantastic job. When my daughters were going and needed a novacaine shot, Dr Yen was and still able to sneak that long needle in without the child knowing, that takes skill! in some cases she can use the anastatic jell on a swab, so not even a pinch. I have had No problems with my insurance, Delta dental HEALTH and TRICARE. AS A NOTE TO a previous patient on this string... When a health care provider agrees to work with an insurance company, in most cases they charge their normal rate and they must take WHATEVER THE INSURANCE COMPANY BELIEVES IS APPROPRIATE. this is why you might think you were over charged. BEWARE!! They will take your money if you let them. Due to a 5 star google rating and how relatively close it was to my apartment. I wanted to give this place a try. After a couple appointments. I was soon to find a bill from Clairemont Dental group / Dr.yen with no key information on how the bill was price. Just payment amount! There were blank columns where it should clearly describe the insurance payed amount and what I am responsible for. RED FLAG. (There couple more red flags during my visits. Unsanitary rooms and the way they bend corners during procedures!) I went to Dr. Yen and told her there has to be mistake for the amount billed and what she told me was. “ I have no info on the bill this is what the insurance had told her”. Straight lie to my face. I called them for an emergency dental appointment and Daniel was super friendly and answered all my questions. I called other places and they said they could only accommodate me for an X-ray and I would have to be back for the next procedure. So Daniel said they could accommodate me that day and do both the X-ray and the procedure on the same day. So when I got inside, everyone was very accommodating. Cathy helped with my forms.I felt comfortable right away, and I never get that feeling with other places. The clinic is super clean and odor free, which I like the most. Fernando assisted me and made my first visit very comfortable. Dr. Rishaad Taraporewalla was compassionate and explained well what he had to do. I was so nervous at first, but he made the procedure very thorough with care.

They always do so good for my daughter here. She leaves happy everytime! I wish they would take my insurance because I love them...
