Claiborne Rehabilitation

On September 1, 2021, after Hurricane Ida, my S.O. was evacuated from a nursing home in New Orleans to Claiborne Rehabilitation in Homer. I went to visit him today and was shocked at what I saw, heard and smelled. I was told that no additional care staff was added to help with the 14 evacuees. Mike had no clothes in his room except the shorts and t-shirt he was wearing, which looked filthy. He had shoes on but no socks, and there were none in his room. His bathroom had nothing but a sink and a toilet which had nasty discolored water in it. No mirror, shower or place to put his toiletries. His portable urinal was filthy, I think because he can't actually get into the bathroom in his wheelchair. I spoke with several evacuees. No one has had a shower or washed their hair since they arrived. T

Such an amazing home! And most of staff are from the area, making their love for Claiborne Rehab and their patients genuine.
