CityMD Springfield Gardens Urgent Care- Queens

I was very disappointed with the bedside manner of Dr. Joslin Thomas. During my visit, she confirmed that I had a fever and provided me with a one-day sick leave note. However, I overheard her telling a colleague that I was “trying to skip work.” I work in a nursing home, where taking illness seriously is critical for patient safety. Hearing a physician make that kind of judgmental comment—especially within earshot of a patient—was upsetting and unprofessional. There was no empathy or remorse shown. Patients deserve respect, discretion, and compassion. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of that. And I will be reaching out to upper management. Never again !!!!!

I made an appointment online and it said 10 minute wait time, I thought in my head great got there of course waited over an hour for my daughter to be seen. I believe the clerk forgot about me and didn’t complete my check in although my end was completed ..people were coming in new, checking in and being seen before my child.. that was strike one. When I finally spoke up after an hour, she told me that I’d be called in immediately. As promised I was called in shortly after (suspicious). Dr checked my daughter and recommended me to ask front desk for a 24 hr pharmacy since my usual pharmacy closed due to them stalling. I get it’s around the end of the day, almost closing time. I was there for emergency treatment because I had leg injury. I was visiting this evening to get treatment. There service was excellent all of the staff, especially the Doctor. I was so impressed.

Extremely long waits for simple COVID-19 tests. Yes, we’re back at again. The flu, fever, various-types-of-viruses-out-in-the-open season. Many come here to see the doctor, who seems to appear at a certain hour. So if that hour isn’t the hour that you’re in, you’re going to be waiting for a while. Not sure if it’s because of the location of the CityMD but it’s pretty obnoxious to not have a doctor on site and have people wait for several hours just to be seen. Obviously time is not valued at this location. In other CityMDs, you’re usually in and out -especially for COVID tests. I was I would be called in within 30 minutes however, 30 minutes pass by, an hour pass by and then 1hr 30 minutes pass by, finally they call me in. Almost two hours waiting to be called, in a waiting room infested

Appointments do not matter. Was told to come back around my appointment time and would be seen. Just to then be told walk ins are being called b4 me because they were here longer. Then what was the point of making an appointment? Mind you I’m only here for paperwork.
